$2 Million Awarded to Injured Cafeteria Worker
A cafeteria manager sustained permanent injuries involving her right knee, when she was caused to slip on a wet commercial kitchen floor surface.

On behalf of the client attorneys of Paul William Beltz were able to establish that the owner of the premises created a dangerous condition by mopping the area the plaintiff fell just prior to the accident and failing to post proper warning signs.

The 41-year old plaintiff underwent four (4) surgeries involving her right knee, including a right knee replacement. The parties to the lawsuit submitted the lawsuit to a binding arbitration. After submission of evidentiary facts, the arbitration panel awarded $2,000,000 to the plaintiff which was reduced to $1,200,000 for the plaintiff's comparative negligence.
