Paralyzed Young Father Receives $40 Million Jury Award
A jury of 3 men and 3 women has awarded $40 million to a young man for injuries he sustained as a result of a 1999 rollover car accident in Cattaraugus County. At the time of the accident, our client was a passenger in a Ford Explorer being driven by his brother, and owned by Ford Motor Credit Company.

Born and raised in the Western New York area, our client still holds the record for one meter springboard diving at his high school . At the time of the accident, he had recently graduated from University where he achieved distinction as an Academic All-American in springboard diving in Division I.

The injuries have left our client paralyzed, wheelchair bound and having to rely on others for his daily care. The unanimous jury verdict was reached after a four week trial and jury deliberations that took place over two days.

The trial was presided over by the Hon. Joseph R. Glownia. Anne Beltz Rimmler of Paul William Beltz, P.C., represented the plaintiff.
